A La Mode Hair Salon

Due to the unfortunate COVID-19 restrictions, work placements in the industry were difficult to come by. Therefore the University provided us with a 'live brief', where we could still gain a sense of work experience.

Our client was a hair stylist in Disley, who wanted to renovate her salon 'A La Mode.' As soon as I saw the charming layout, I wanted to incorporate a minimalist, black and white concept into the salon, to create a spa-like atmosphere.

A signature item of this design is the selected walls with Zentangle art on them. These are there to be coloured in by customers and children if they're waiting for treatment, and represent the idea of expressing creativity in a fun, unique style.
