My initial idea for concept designs were biophilic design or modern design. I wanted the space to be a breath of fresh air after the building had been run down for so long, so creating an open, breathable space was very important to me. I created a mind-map to help me pinpoint what features I wanted to include in the building, as well as colour palettes.
After considering all my ideas, I decided to go with biophilic design, combined with Scandinavian design. I was then able to research different office spaces on Architecture and Interior design websites to find inspiration for my own work. Out of all the precedent studies I chose, my favourites were definitely those designed by the French Architect Vincent Callebaut. The way he used nature to his advantage to create such magnificent buildings and interiors was inspiring.
My precedent studies gave me a good understanding of what I should be including in my space, and I have plenty of ideas that I am excited to incorporate into my own designs!
